SARAWAK IS MALAYSIA'S STEP CHILD

Everyday go through around the globe and everywhere else, people busy talking about the emerging of new technologies. While others discussing about this phenomenon still some part of this world are left behind of this raising new age. For more surprisingly, this is what happens in our very own country. We are not feel shock if this discovery is being made in a third world country or a shacking country that being years in wars or lack of resource to steer their developments. Our leadership always proudly says that we should be thankful and grateful of having vast natural resources for our nation development. This development is always says to be made to our people and for people of Malaysia.

Sarawak since joining Malaysia federation back in 15 September 1963, that is some 45 years ago has received a little or a minimal development on its land. While, Sarawak has contribute to the treasury of Malaysia federation and can be perceive as a goldmine of the federation for mounting stockpile of oil on it offshore, wood inside its rainforest and others valuable minerals. This big land with estimation of 3 million populations is always treated as a step child or "old wife". For so long Sarawak has contribute to a well being of Malaysia as a whole. Arrogant peninsular community always perceives Sarawak is covered by a deep jungle and people of Sarawak are living on top of trees. How ridiculous thinking it is and how conceited they are, by not thinking that every development in the peninsular is donation from Sarawak kindness. When mention about oil royalty we are being put to a humiliation by only receive 5 percent from annually oil output pump out from the oil rig. Mathematical dividend that should be applied for an oil royalty is at least 50-50 share. As we own the oil and they pump it. Maybe they will relay back at us, we own the company that digging the oil. There are still hundreds of reliable companies who capable to do the job if they don’t. Oil has been discovered across Sarawak since 100 years ago. This is the only resource we own to develop our state. Have we complaint about this injustice? Have we showed our rebellious act toward our disagreement in this issue? The answer is NEVER… at least in public media. As a decent human being, people should be able to thinking for a good or bad of their action, able to differentiate between a good and evil, between right and wrong of a certain activities and facts. Only a crazy person will always believe evil is equal as good and right is same as wrong. This crazy human being is in fact dumb person who does know what happen around them but simply believe it is there.

From the industrial point of view, Sarawak has not benefited any big figure of investors despite a huge amount of foreign investment that penetrate Malaysia in each year. More investor are diverted to peninsular Malaysia where their infrastructure are much advance if compare to Sarawak. So, the question here is whose responsibility in providing these entire infrastructures such as a proper road, highway, ports, electricity, water supply, etc? This entire infrastructure does not simply appear from nowhere, not even fall out from sky above too. Somebody must work it out to put thing into realisation. This somebody is the person or an organization that responsible in attracting people to come, visit and invest in our country. This somebody is the government that rule the country. Government that should listen and entertain the pledge of people as they are formed by the people through the democracy process called ELECTION. Then, when come to election period only then, we will see the "lovely" face of our parliamentary and state assembly representatives. They show themselves, they come, they see and they try to conquer the heart of the people by tonnes of words of promises. Many sort of promises made just so that they blind people might believe they actually can see the world. At the end, "Alexander the Great" or "Genghis Khan" had the ultimate win for the seat they contested in. What a happy ending for this person who called himself a representatives of a people. While, their people wait for his voice to be heard by the upper leadership yet he is sleeping in the back. What a shameful he is! They are local quote saying that "Only dog lack of shame". This is not a humiliation for them, as we, a people who elected them for so long have been humiliated by them, since the day one they took the seat. Our humiliation is immeasurably enormous is size and capacity. Why? We hope, and wait another year, again we hope again and wait for another year, and still we are in vain. Nothing is done to please his people. Day by day for once more, we have heard a lame excuses for unable to serve as deserve by people.

Government always blame a geographically factors that lead toward a stoppage of a road building in Sarawak. If we make a comparison between Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia, what similarity we find out is that they are all covered by rough terrain. Comprises of high mountain and hills, but once more question arouse that why Peninsular Malaysia enjoy road building much easier if compare to Sarawak. We have seen some others countries that has similar terrain as Malaysia has develop their comfortable road infrastructure long ago for their people. Why can’t we then?

Mountain and hill are part of a GOD creation to beautify this world. Each of things which GOD has created serves certain purpose and functions. This is undeniable fact that we must accept. According to study, it is almost impossible for this mountain to be move from one place to another naturally. We can hope for next 10 years, 100 years, 1000 years, or even million years more for this mountain and hill to be vanished from Sarawak, if possible. Then, after that we will propose a road construction project to be implemented. Sound so funny to be heard, but this is bitter joke that we made to hilarious our daily life. All the while, government always blame hurdle by mountain and hill that obstruct a road construction in Sarawak. Just like this government is blaming GOD for creating a mountain and hills around Sarawak. Maybe next thing they going to blame is lack of resource cause by world economic crisis as Malaysia NOT EVEN HIT by this crisis as mention by finance minister few days ago.
