GUESS WHO IS ANOTHER NEW PKR YB AFTER NOVEMBER 22ND.......?

After November 22nd..Another NEW PKR YB..?

All the hoo-hahs,press statements,reports and interviews at Malaysiakini carried out by the (Sngs) faction seems to be readying the PLATFORM for the WELCOME of Assistant Minister in CMs office Larry Sng. Where else can you get nearly 12000 “readymade” members if NOT FROM those aligned to Larry does not cross over to PKR. The earlier report of Malaysiakini http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/93163 which saw to the their application forms being submitted to PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim at a huge dinner gathering in Sibu.

A PRS youth exco member while speaking to audie61 said that he will be making his way to Bintulu this weekend. He has been informed by a SC member that those PRS members who were seen at the dinner would be dealt with accordingly. This would not be discounted as word on the ground and also confirmed by this report from the blog ,” Now that Larry is partyless, he should therefore be replaced as an assistant minister,” We are giving Abdul Taib Mahmud the name of YB who should replace Larry. He cannot simply ignore our recommendation as it is the president’s right to nominate his own man.”

In all honesty, this is just speculative as we should know who is Larry Sng. In politics it does help to be associated to well known personalities.He is the son in law of one of Malaysia’s well known tycoon businessman Ting Pek Khiing who is a very close to CM Taib Mahmud. Though Larry is the son of Sng Chee Hua,Taib does listen to Ting more than he listens to Chee Hua. On November 14th we wrote in ‘Friends of PKR..Really??” in which we mentioned the following.

The extract,” The next interesting question would be what actions are going to be taken against the PRS members who will be at the dinner tomorrow the 15th? PRS President Datuk Sri James Masing and his supreme council will meet in Bintulu on November 22nd and the agenda would obviously discuss this matter. it is of absolute importance that SOMETHING CONCRETE needs to be done and for this to be addressed. PRS has been badly shaken with all this political activities surrounding the party and calmness needs to be restored.”

The Malaysian economy is hardly in the best shape and with all this political upheavels the business communitys confidence needs to be reassured. It seems that PRS Secretary General Wilfred Nissom is being well informed of the groundswell. Something needs to be done as too much politiking is affecting the State. The ROS has handed the certificate of registration 1994-04-15 to the new headquarters in pending and thus once and for all he said at the PC,”the issue over which(rival) faction in (PRS) is the legal custodian of the party following the internal leadership tussle.

It puts a BLOT to seemingly a good gesture for PKR to accept the rival faction into their fold. But with these new developments it seems that PKR will have to look at the whole scenario with interests. The market does not seem to be too favourable on all the ex-PRS making a bee-line into PKR. A member even said that they have build the CUCKOOS NEST (After hatching, the young cuckoo shoves the other eggs and young out of the nest).but this time do not expect to come in and just tell us what to do and not to do.

There seems to be a lot of Questions asked on the Numbers that was submitted to PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim during the dinner. Even PRS Alexander Vincent(Adits opponent during the last elections) said in the local tabloid that its “mathematically illogical” A political watcher went on to say,” Was it copied and transferred in full from PRS forms to PKR forms without the knowledge of those members?” We do not want to be dragged into this issue and we leave it to the PRS headquarters to solve this.

However,PKR will be well advised to look into this issue too as it will open up many uncertainties. A former PBDS member said it happened during the height of the PBDS struggles and crisis and it might just spell TROUBLE AHEAD if its not closely monitored. Will Larry be the New ‘WIRA” as Adit and Beginda has been bestowed with the names by Anwar at the dinner. These words by Anwar if it happens will be a morale booster ,”Anwar also said that a number of other elected representatives in Sarawak will follow Adit’s footsteps in joining the opposition front,” as reported by Malaysiakini correspondent who was present at the dinner function.

Is Larry Sng joining PKR?

By associating himself with Gabriel Adit, State Assemblyman for Ngemah and Anwar Ibrahim at the dinner in Sibu last Saturday, is Sng Chee Hua preparing his son Larry to join Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)? This appears to be so as Sng knows that his son Larry’s days as an assistant minister are numbered.

In fact this Saturday Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) supreme council will meet in Bintulu to discuss among other issues the replacement for Larry Sng who has become partyless following his expulsion from the party.

“Now that Larry is partyless, he should therefore be replaced as an assistant minister,” said a member of the PRS supreme council who suggested he should remain anonymous considering the sensitivity of the issue.

He said: “We are giving Abdul Taib Mahmud the name of YB who should replace Larry. He cannot simply ignore our recommendation as it is the president’s right to nominate his own man.”

During the dinner function in Sibu, Larry Sng’s deputy Jimmy Donald Lim, vice presidents Munan Laja and Earnest Chua, woman chief Josephine Mawat, youth chief Leon Donald Lim and several other supreme council members and supporters were not only present at the dinner, but were actively involved in its preparation.

Knowing his son has no future in BN, Sng quickly seized the opportunity by riding on the wave of Anwar Ibrahim’s popularity. The combined forces of Pakatan Rakyat and Sng’s resources will make Larry a hard nut to crack in the Pelagus constituency come next election. Even some Dayak State assemblymen who are pro-Taib’s NCR land grabbing policy may face an uphill battle if only the wrath of the people can be translated into votes.

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO SARAWAK CIVIL SERVICE!

The Sarawak Civil Service,Please keep all the files intact!

Lets say,if a new Government led by a new Chief Minister will rule our beloved State of Sarawak in the near future,my mind is wondering on how the Sarawak civil servants will react to this very likely scenario? How would the State Secretary and his senior officers,namely the various Permanent Secretaries of the various ministries will accept that they will have a new set of masters? After all these officers have only known and work under the same present masters all their lives in the civil service.

Remember when the PAKATAN people rushed to Shah Alam and tried to lock the gates of the Selangor State Government Office,only to find out,to their horror that already some officials of the defeated government were seen trying to cart thousands of files away?(By then the BN in Selangor had already fallen to the opposition).Fortunately those crooks were stopped at the nick of time,thanks to the timely intervention of the police and the Pakatan officials.

It is hoped the the Sarawak Civil servants will be professional enough to make sure that this sort of thing will not happen assuming the likelyhood that a new set of power to be will come in to helm the State of Sarawak.

There must be thousands of files in the closets containing minutes of meetings,the awards of "negotiated tenders", applications/awards of State Lands to individuals and companies,mode of payment for "payment in kind", "recomendations" from permanent secretary to the minister for awarding of land leases, "signals" in the minutes indicating whether certain applications for forest concessions,for e.g is approved or not,the list goes on and on.....!

So, to the present crop of the Civil servants of Sarawak,please keep those files intact!
